MTSD is dedicated to producing full-scale, biannual theatre shows in aid of local charities.
Junior Dance Productions
MTSD’s Junior Dance Productions are magical retellings of much-loved stories, brought to life by our youngest dancers aged 3–12. Through rehearsals and performances, children across all four dance styles are challenged to work together as a team, develop focus and commitment and share their extraordinary abilities as uninhibited actors as well as dancers.
Audiences are often amazed by the confidence, stage presence and maturity our young performers demonstrate, far beyond their years. Behind the scenes, parents and carers play a valued role in supporting the production, helping to create a warm, inclusive atmosphere. These productions bring the MTSD community together to achieve something truly special, leaving children, families and audiences with lasting memories and a shared sense of pride.
Senior Dance Productions
Our innovative Senior Dance Productions are thoughtfully crafted to showcase the maturity, resilience and energy of our dancers aged 13–18. Every MTSD student takes part, with all four dance styles woven together into powerful, cohesive performances. Productions are elevated through atmospheric lighting, carefully curated music and, where appropriate, dynamic projected visuals, creating a truly immersive theatrical experience.
Our shows have been praised for their strong conceptual vision and professional execution, grounded in performances that feel authentic, expressive and deeply human. Students are encouraged to take real ownership of the production process, developing responsibility, teamwork and leadership both onstage and behind the scenes. Above all, these productions aim to challenge and inspire our young dancers while offering audiences a memorable, engaging experience that is both meaningful and distinctive.
